How to Run Apps from Outside the Mac App Store

1. Open System Settings (macOS Ventura and later) or System Preferences (macOS Monterey and earlier).
2. Go to Privacy & Security.
3. Scroll down to the Security section. You will see a message like:  "XXX was blocked from use because it is not from an identified developer."
4. Next to this message, click the Open Anyway button.
5. A final confirmation dialog will appear. Click Open.
6. The app will now launch. You will only need to do this once.
